This fused magnesia is manufactured by melting premium magnesite in an electric arc furnace above 2800°C, featuring high MgO purity, dense structure, large crystal grains, excellent slag resistance and thermal shock stability. It owns outstanding high-temperature strength and chemical stability. Widely applied to make magnesia carbon bricks, magnesia bricks, monolithic refractories for steel, metallurgy and cement kilns. Which magnesia products do you supply?
Caustic calcined magnesia (CCM, MgO 85–95%), dead burnt magnesia (DBM, MgO 96–99%), electro-fused magnesia (MgO ≥ 98%), high purity magnesia sand, plus magnesium sulphate heptahydrate (99.5%) and monohydrate.
What is the difference between caustic calcined, dead burnt and fused magnesia?
CCM is calcined at 700–1000 °C and is chemically reactive, used for magnesium cement, desulphurisation and feed. DBM is sintered above 1600 °C for high density and is the base for refractory bricks. Fused magnesia is arc-melted above 2800 °C, giving the largest crystals and the best slag resistance.
Can I get custom MgO content and particle size?
Yes. MgO can be tailored across 85%, 90%, 92%, 94%, 95%, 96%, 97%, 98% and 99%, with powders from 120 mesh to granules of 0–1 mm, 1–3 mm, 3–5 mm or larger.
Do you provide third-party test reports?
Yes. We test every batch in-house and can arrange SGS or other third-party inspection on request, at the buyer's cost.
